Legal and licensing

This page carries the legal notices for The Aviation Observatory Limited and the outline of the licence under which Meridian is sold. Full licence terms accompany every quotation; what follows is the plain-English shape of them.

The Meridian licence

Meridian is licensed annually, per organisation, priced by the number of airports covered and the number of users. It is not currently licensed to airlines. Licences cover internal business use: forecasts, exports and presentations may be used in your organisation's own work, including documents put to airlines, boards, lenders and regulators, with The Aviation Observatory credited as source. Licences do not permit redistribution or resale of the data itself, provision of the outputs as a service to third parties outside a declared consultancy engagement, or use of the data to train or calibrate a competing product.

Citation

Figures produced by Meridian should be cited as, for example, "Meridian, The Aviation Observatory", with the scenario and model version shown on the figure. Figures published on this site may be quoted in press and research with credit; commercial reuse of the underlying data requires a licence.

Trade marks and names

The Aviation Observatory and Meridian are trade names of The Aviation Observatory Limited, which owns the copyright in Meridian and in this site; registrations are in progress in the relevant classes. Third-party names on this site are the marks of their owners, used only to identify the things they name.
